I apologize for my lack of blogging but I’ve had serious writers block, along with being swamped at work and applying for new jobs and what not. But I WILL be participating in the race for Sherry Arnold.

If you don’t follow Shut Up and Run(you totally should) then I’ll fill you in. Sherry Arnold was SUAR’s cousin. Sherry lived in a small town in Montana and was a math teacher who was very loved by her community. On January 7, 2012, Sherry went out for a run at 0630 along her usual route. 10 minutes later, she was abducted and murdered. Two men are in custody and so far the only physical thing they have is Sherry’s right Brooks running shoe.
This hits so close to home to anyone who runs, walks, rollerblades, whatever. How many times have you gone out just to walk around your neighborhood? Ride your bike on a trail? How many of you are teachers? How many of you know and love a teacher? This horrible tragedy has affected people worldwide.
The race will happen on February 11th but if that date doesn’t work for you, do it whenever you can. There’s a facebook page set up for the race HERE and more info for the race can be found on SUAR’s website. She also has a DONATE button set up on her page. They have started a fund for the two darling children that Sherry has left behind.
